CAHPI National Exam

Are you ready to write the CAHPI National exam?

You may choose from two options:
Option 1: Bundled - Practice Exam & CAHPI National Exam
Option 2: CAHPI National Exam

To register for the exam… please log into the CAHPI Member Dashboard, click the Exam icon, complete the registration form and submit your exam fee.

Note: CAHPI Candidate members from British Columbia are required to write an alternate exam. For information about the alternate home inspection exam please contact CAHPI

• You will NOT be able to take this test on a mobile phone. You may only use a Desktop or Laptop Computer.
• For verification…. please hold your photo ID up to your webcam for 10 seconds.
• Please ensure that your web cam captures you from the chest up to the top of your head.
• The Exam consists of 11 Sections. You will not be able to progress to the next section until all questions have been answered.
• All 212 questions are multiple choice.
• You have the ability to move back on some pages in each section to answer questions that may require longer to answer.
• Please read all questions carefully.
• You will have 4 hours to complete the exam. It must be done in one sitting so please allow enough time to complete it.
• This exam will have live video proctoring so ensure that you have a computer with a microphone and video capture/camera capabilities.
• Your web cam will be recording you during the examination.
• This is a closed book exam with NO assistance from any other person or documentation permitted.
• You will not be allowed to exit full screen, open other apps or windows during this examination.
• Please ensure that you are entirely alone when you start the exam.
• A passing score of 75% will be required.

Practice Exam:
This is to give Candidates an idea on how the CAHPI National Exam will function.
Note: The score on your practice exam will not count towards your final score.

• You will have 2 hours to complete the practice exam. It must be done in one sitting so please allow enough time to complete it.
• You will not be allowed to exit full screen, open other apps or windows during this examination.
• You may write the practice exam up to 5 times.
